The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is ushering in a new era of digital tax compliance with InvoiceNow, a nationwide e-invoicing network built on the international Peppol framework.
Starting 1 November 2025, newly incorporated companies that register for GST voluntarily, will be required to transmit invoice data to IRAS using InvoiceNow-ready solutions, marking a key milestone in Singapore’s push for smarter, more efficient tax reporting.

What Transactions Are Covered?
The InvoiceNow requirement applies to transactions reported in GST returns, including:
- Standard-rated, zero-rated, and exempt supplies
- Standard-rated and zero-rated purchases
- Tax invoices, simplified invoices, receipts, and debit/credit notes
Excluded transactions: deemed supplies, reverse charge transactions, and exempt financial services.
Excluded businesses: overseas entities and businesses registered solely under the Reverse Charge regime.
